President and CEO
Kanji KAZAHAYA is President & CEO of Culture Connect, who has more than 15 years of experiences in media industry, especially international licensing business. He started his career at one of the major Japanese trading firm, ITOCHU Corporation in 1985. Before, he joined one of the top Japanese animation studios, Toei Animation in 2004, he built his international business experience at the first Japanese MSO, TITUS Communications, Pacific Century Cyber Works. At Toei Animation, he was the head of its international business to license its key properties, such as "DRAGONBALL Z", "ONE PIECE", "DIGIMON", "PRETTY CURE" for the global market before became an independent in 2012. Since 2016, Kanji is an advisor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Tokyo Animation Business Accelerator Program.
